Chapter 10

Delilah headed out to where she thought she would find her mother, watching some of the men training for the next harem fight. Lavinia’s little sister actually had a battle for her harem soon, and if there was something that all succubi were addicted to, it was bloodshed or the prospect of bloodshed.

Her mother, having ripped out her father’s heart for being part human, was no exception to this rule, even if Delilah herself was. Watching men fight over her did get her blood pumping, but the fighting itself did nothing for her. If she was honest with herself, it was completely barbaric.

Sure enough, Delilah’s mother was purring and cooing into the ear of one of the men in her harem, a large one even by normal standards. She’d had so many fighting for her on her day and bragged about it all the time. It had left her with five men, even after Delilah’s father had died.

“Ah, if it isn’t my ungrateful, mischievous daughter. Have you come to try and hurt me more with your attitude, or have you finally come to your senses?” her mother asked in that cruel voice of hers.

It seemed to draw her harem closer to her, lapping their tongues against any skin that showed. It took everything in Delilah not to turn away from the disgusting public display. It was too over the top, even for a succubus.

“I am not going to apologize unless you do, but I have come to ask for advice,” Delilah said, crossing her arms over her chest.

“What advice could I possibly give you beyond what I already have? Follow the rules of Hell, Delilah. Act like a model succubus. Use your harem for your sexual desires and to suck them dry and use humans when it is necessary to let them rest, or if you just feel in the mood for torture.”

Her mother’s mouth turned up on one side at the mention of torture. She dug her nails deep into one of the incubi with her, drawing blood and causing him to moan out in either pain or pleasure, Delilah couldn’t tell. She understood the calling to such a thing, but that didn’t mean her mother needed to have what she was doing on open display for everyone.

“It’s about my harem. Now that I have them, I don’t quite seem to know what to do with them—other than the obvious.” She whispered the last words because she didn’t want anyone thinking ill of her on that part, though it would be better that her inexperience was mocked than her human side be found out, thus putting them all in danger.

“Oh, goodness, I was sure you had at least one good one in there. That large, dark one seemed like he knew how to please a succubus for sure. Are you already bored with what your harem has to offer? Or is it that they have grown bored with you? Rumor has it that Lavinia is out to steal whoever doesn’t wish to stay with you.
