“H ello?” Liam said into our burner phone.

“It's Cal,” he said and put it on speakerphone.

It had been 2 weeks and Cal wasn't any closer to finding anything. Liam and I had gone into the local town gotten a PC to start doing our own digging but since we were trying not to use our resources we weren't getting very far.

Both Liam and I were checking in with our superiors on a regular basis but we made sure the calls were too short to trace and we didn't tell them where we were at. After a thorough investigation by the FBI and US Marshals, they decided that only Jack's family still needed to have additional protection despite our protests. Jack's family was removed from the safe house but they had a security detail.

Liam's dad had called up an old Army buddy that owned a national security firm. After telling him what was going on he agreed that all the families of the SEAL team in question needed additional protection. His buddy had a security detail placed on all of the families and kept us updated that they were okay.

Liam and I spent every night together talking and making love we couldn't get enough of each other and I loved it. I knew that we still had a long way to go with figuring things out. We hadn't talked about the past again which I was thankful for but I knew we had to at one point to get over all the hurt.

“Hey Cal, I got you on speakerphone.”

“So, I got a hit, he's in Milwaukee. I don't have a specific location but I caught him on security cameras the last couple of days. You want me to go up there and see if I can track him down?”

Liam looked at me and we nodded in silent agreement. Even though we were thankful to what Cal has done the last couple of weeks we knew that we needed to finish this ourselves. With Eclipse now being in Milwaukee instead of Neal, we had more options. “Thanks Cal but we have it from here.”

“No problem, it's the least I can do after everything.”

That was another thing we avoided in our relationship, talking about what happened between Cal and me. It was hard for us to accept Cal's help on this in any way because of what happened and it was taking a toll on me especially but we steered clear of the topic.

Liam hung up the phone and sigh. “Well at least he's out of Neal. We can send our families home and get Pops friend to put a security detail on them.”

Since Liam and I were in our bedroom I climbed onto his lap and kissed him. He tasted like bacon and pancakes. While it was nice being cooped up with his dads for the food aspect I couldn't wait to have him alone.

“I'll be glad. I'm getting restless I want to track this fucker down myself.”

“I know what you mean,” Liam said as he speared his fingers through my hair.
