Colin was out the door and down the street after the coffee shop closed early and the cleaning up was completed. He had so much to do before heading over to Jesse’s later that night. Thankfully, he managed to get his Christmas shopping done earlier in the week and now he only had to wrap the presents and fill out some cards. He couldn’t wait to see Jesse again. He tingled just thinking about their night together. He wasn’t one for falling in love easily, but already he knew if things didn’t work out between them he was going to end up devastated and probably eating pint after pint of double chocolate ice cream while watching old black-and-white romantic movies on TV.

Jesse texted him to say that he’d come around to pick him up at seven. So all he needed to do was grab a quick bite to eat along with a shower. His overnight bag was already packed and ready to go. Jesse arrived just before seven and when he knocked on the door, Colin was quick to answer. Going a whole week without seeing his sexy cowboy had been far too long.

Once inside his apartment, he kicked off his shoes and tossed his coat on the couch in the living area. It was good to be back inside surrounded by warmth. The temperature outside had dropped from the morning and it had started to snow a little. He’d wrap presents first before doing anything else.

The sweater he’d bought for Jesse was gorgeous and hand knit. He’d bought it from a specialty shop that specialized in things made by local artisans. They carried a wide variety of things and while it did cost quite a bit, it was well worth it. Colin figured that Jesse would put it to good use out on the ranch since he spent the majority of his time outside. The sweater would keep Jesse warm and Colin hoped that each time he wore it that it would remind Jesse of him.

He chose a silvery wrapping paper emblazoned with snowflakes in a random pattern to wrap Jesse’s gift in. Topped with a matching bow and tag it looked lovely. Colin also has gifts for Jax, Wesley, and Paul. He wrapped those and placed them to the side to be taken to the ranch with him. He baked shortbread cookies the previous night and a batch of lemon squares to bring with him. He was sure that the guys would appreciate them. His talents spread from the bedroom into more artful areas of his life. He liked to bake. It was a relaxing and most productive hobby even if it was hard on the waistline if one intended to indulge too much. But it was Christmas and exceptions had to be made for this time of the year.

“Hey,” Jesse said, coming in. “It’s freezing out so dress warm. Apparently there’s a blizzard on the way later tonight. It’s a good thing you’re staying over.
