Chapter 4

When I woke up, he was gone. His side of the bed had long been cold and I was alone. It disappointed me that we couldn’t continue the most amazing night of my life. Maybe I truly was just a one night stand and this was his way of getting rid of me.

Slightly incensed, I pushed the covers off me and got out of bed. There was no point in wasting time. I needed to get out of here and soon. I could take the hint.

I knew it was going to happen, but I still wasn’t prepared for the soreness I experienced. Just walking to the bathroom was painful. I had been good and thoroughly fucked.

My hair was a mess and I attempted to toss it up in a quasi-decent bun. I used his toothpaste to brush my teeth with my finger and washed my face. Now was the crappy part. I had to get back into my party clothes and do the walk of shame.

Once I was dressed, I left the room and headed toward the door. I called out, just in case he was just in another room. Silence wrapped around me like a blanket. Knowing now more than ever that I was supposed to let myself out, I did just that.

After I stepped out of the elevator, I made a beeline to the front door. Before the doorman could greet me, I bolted. Once outside in the fresh air, my head started to finally clear. It felt like last night was a dream. There’s just no way sex was that good. It was so hot it was scorching.

The heels were killing me, so I sighed in relief as I flagged down a cab and it stopped. I quickly got in and rattled off my address. The streets flew by as I stared out the window, deep in thought.

Even after brushing my teeth, I could imagine how he tasted in my mouth. The memories were assaulting me now. I could feel him pounding deep inside me as I screamed and begged for more.

I didn’t snap out of my stupor until we reached my apartment. After paying the driver, I hurried up the stairs and into my apartment. The minute the door shut behind me, I locked it and began to strip out of my clothes. A trail followed me into the bathroom as I started a hot shower.

The shower did nothing to stave off my cravings for Parker. I lusted for him in ways I wasn’t sure I was comfortable with. I wasn’t a prude, but it was clear how inexperienced I was after just one night with him.

I was really sore still. It was so bad; I considered putting ice on me to numb the pain. Thinking of the ice between my legs, wet and cold, made me want him all over again. There was no way he wasn’t going to spend all day invading my every thought.

I was very addicted to how he had his way with me.
