Chapter 10

Xander hopped out of the truck and ran around to open the passenger door, but Khaki was already waiting for him by the front bumper, her hand outstretched. He took it without hesitation. The time for thinking was long past.

He didn’t really remember Khaki unlocking the door. There was just the jangling of keys, then they were standing in the entryway of her apartment gazing at each other.

“Are we really going to do this?” she whispered as he closed the door behind them.

Xander didn’t answer. Instead, he tugged her close, slid one hand into her silky, long hair, and kissed her. The taste of her mouth made something hungry and primal rise up, and he wrapped his other arm around her to pull her closer. It was time to claim her completely.

As the kiss deepened, he had to fight his body’s desire to shift. He had the insane need to let his teeth slip out so he could nip her here and there—just a little.

But he held back the instinctive need to let the animal out, not wanting to scare Khaki. Then he felt her fangs come out as she captured his lower lip and gave it a not-so-gentle bite. That destroyed any resistance he had left, and the next thing he knew, he had her pressed up against the wall of her apartment, one hand under her ass to hold her off the floor as the other ripped off her shirt.

His mouth descended to her throat, kissing here, tracing his tongue there, slightly sinking his teeth into that warm, pulsing area where her beautiful neck met that strong, sexy shoulder. He didn’t bite very hard, definitely not hard enough to break skin, but the soft growl Khaki let out was so wild and passionate that he found it hard to hold back.

Her claws dug into his back as she ripped his shirt off his shoulders. He knew she’d scratched him hard enough to bleed, but he didn’t care. He never imagined it could feel so good to have a set of claws buried in his flesh, but it did. Beyond words.

That was when he stopped holding back and let his fangs bite just a little bit deeper.

The sound of pleasure Khaki made probably woke the neighbors three streets down, but Xander was beyond caring about that too.

Khaki growled as Xander pushed her up against the wall and let his sharp canines come down on her shoulder. It shouldn’t have felt so good, but the pleasure spreading out from her neck and shoulder could only be described as orgasmic.

She dug her claws into his back and urged him to keep going. She’d never been this turned on before, and everything Xander did, especially the biting, only made her burn hotter.

It was crazy. She’d never been into anything remotely kinky like this, had never even been a fan of rough sex before now. But at that moment, all she wanted Xander to do was rip off her clothes and take her right there against the wall as hard as he could.
