Chapter Thirteen

Olivia flopped forward onto the mattress after her third orgasm. “I can’t help coming when you do that. I wasn’t even trying that time.”

That was when Cardic went down on her from behind. While Olivia was used to giving that kind of attention, she found it rather exhilarating to be on the receiving end. The feel of Cardic’s body behind her, the anonymity of not seeing Cardic’s face. And being able to somewhat hide her own reactions. Except for the noises. God, I hope Mrs. Harper doesn’t complain to the HOA.

Cardic crawled up behind Olivia and spooned her, caressing her breasts. Olivia assumed Cardic did this to sexualize the intimate act of spooning. They both had their own subtle ways of reminding each other what kind of an arrangement they had agreed to. Sex. It’s just sex.

“Well, I could just spend the night and wake you up that way in the morning. Just picture it. Coming before you’ve even had your coffee.” Cardic nuzzled Olivia’s neck and bit the tender flesh there.

“Sorry, no sleepovers.”

Cardic grabbed for Olivia as she moved to get out of bed. “Come on. It’s nearly four. It’s almost morning anyway.”

Since she and Cardic had been spending time together, Olivia thought she could pick up Cardic’s humor pretty easily, so she wasn’t overly concerned about the current conversation. One that was testing her limits. “Then you’d better get dressed and go.” Olivia bent over to pick up Cardic’s pants and hand them to her as she crawled out of bed with a little kid frown. Olivia tried to suppress a giggle.

“You’re laughing? You know what’s funny?” Cardic pulled Olivia’s naked body against hers and held her tight, palming her ass and kissing her neck. “When you wake up tomorrow and want my mouth on you, my fingers inside you, you’ll only have yourself to thank.”

Olivia shuddered, her arousal returned with a vengeance. “Point taken.”

Cardic winked and bent to put on her pants. A crumpled paper fell from her pocket, and Olivia picked it up. She had no intention of reading it, but a woman’s name caught her eye. At first, she didn’t know or care if it was business or pleasure, but the more she thought about it, the stranger she felt. “You dropped this.”

Olivia watched Cardic’s face for any sign of what this person meant to her.

“Oh, yeah a message from earlier. An old colleague.” Cardic gave a tight smile and continued getting dressed.

As Olivia watched inch after inch of that beautiful body disappear under layers of clothes, she realized the alarming fact that she didn’t want Cardic to leave. Even though they were done with sex, Olivia still wasn’t ready for her to go. All the more reason to get rid of her.

Olivia grabbed her black silk robe and wandered out into the living room while Cardic finished dressing. She walked out in her pressed khakis, only a little wrinkled from being on the floor all night; her light blue button-down; and brown loafers. Her hair was disheveled but still somehow perfect.
