Damn, now I had to find him. I decided I’d hit the avenue. So, as I drove to the avenue, I was asking people if they’d seen Lonnie. There were a few snickers here and there. I asked an alcoholic named Sue. “You already know where he is. He is in his favorite alley, down there by Pulaski.”

As I approached the garage, I blew the horn to startle the people in there out of their thoughts. I saw somebody peep out of the door, and it was Lonnie.
