Jangal contacted SWIFT, but was put off several times and finally turned away rather unkindly. At first he thought about filing a lawsuit, then he had a better idea.

His plan was to penetrate their network and then, depending on what he gained access to, perform an action that would cause SWIFT to rethink.

All he needed was a lazy developer who unknowingly served as an accomplice.

Jangal had a few user requests from the forum of one of the software modules used by SWIFT implemented and noted in the delivery documents that the update closed important security holes and classified the update as "immediate and urgent".
