I knew the blast of energy wouldn't stop the Enemy. His Power was awesome to behold. I might last for a minute or two against him, but in the end I knew I would fall. So I sent the blast of Power with all my surface thoughts bent on attack, hoping the Enemy was lulled by the diversion I pulled shadows like a cloak over my sisters car and her friends, then stepping in myself I sent us home.

The cars popped out at awkward angles next to the garage, girls screaming in fear and confusion. Ashlyn and a posh brunette were yelling at the girls and getting them under control as I turned to the house.

I ran to the door just as my mom opened it with a concerned look on her face.

“Get the girls, we have to leave here now!” I could feel the enemies presence drawing closer and probing at my defensive barrier. It wouldn't take long to worm its way through, then I feared what would happen.

There was a scramble of women all around me as mom and aunt Sharon threw luggage stuffed with clothes out onto the lawn. It felt like forever but they managed to make a nice pile of essentials in very short time.

“What was that thing?!” The posh brunette asked.

“I'm still not entirely sure.” I said, distracted as I cataloged the route I would have to take to make sure we weren't followed. Another part of my mind prepared the shadows around the yard, drawing them around my mom, aunt Sharon, Mary, Asuka and the rest of the women. Where the hell did all these girls come from?

“It felt evil.” The girl said, shivering slightly and hugging herself.

“Don't worry,” I replied, “Soon we will all be safe.” The girl looked at me with a mixture of fear and awe.

“I trust you,” She shook her head as she said this. “I don't know why, but I do.” Then turning to the new group she said, “Come on girls gather in close. I think we will be leaving again. Shut up Meegan! We will get an explanation when we get there!”

The Enemy pounded at my wards, battering at them with a fury I couldn't believe. Looking around I saw the women were all ready.

“Form a circle and join hands. This might feel a little... strange.” I said.

Once the last pair of hands clasped together I threw shadows around the lot of us and we barreled through. I dragged us around half the world, lurching and pulling us all hither and thither. To the women around me it felt as though their stomachs were being flipped end over end, too fast for nausea to seep.

Finally after what seemed like hours I pulled us to our destination, throwing the women out into the large rock cavern I had found deep in the mountains. Women and girls collapsed all round me, vomiting and reeling from vertigo. I instantly surrounded the cavern with the most powerful ward I could. Then I sunk to my knees, panting heavily from exhaustion and looking around, taking stock.
