The technician had never seen a 3D gun in pieces before. It looked strange and he paused, but there was little sense in stopping it. He was sure it wasn’t a bomb. No reason to make a commotion. He was late getting out here anyway. His girlfriend was waiting for him so they could catch a five o’clock train out to his parents’ house. It was her first time meeting them and his mother wouldn’t like it if he was late. Besides, he could tell it wasn’t a bomb. Maybe the pieces to make a gun? No one would be foolish enough to bring a gun in here and try to steal a painting. They wouldn’t get far.

He didn’t even notice the crooked grin of the businessman as the suitcase went through unflagged.
