Who would have thought I’d be sneaking around at my age, kissing men I’m not really supposed to kiss? Certainly not me. And okay, not plural men, just one man—one very handsome and very sexy man. It almost feels like that one time, as a teenager, when I hid around the corner of the street, so my parents wouldn’t see me making out with Brian Trent as he walked me home after school—the secrecy is enough for my weak little heart to go haywire on me, just like it did all those years ago.

Now, at almost twenty-four, I thought things like that wouldn’t happen anymore, but boy was I wrong.

Logan and I have been doing nothing but sneaking around the whole last week, stealing kisses before and after photo shoots and whenever else we could. My sexual frustration has reached an all-time high, and just when I was ready to climb him in a koala-like tight grip, he had to leave for an important business trip on the other side of the country. Now I’m a crazy mess but also happy I don’t have to deal with any clients until he gets back in a few days. Not sure that would be good for business because, like my sister told me last night, I’m apparently no fun to be around at the moment.

I’ve been using the downtime to work and practice at the studio by myself for the last two days, but it’s just not the same without Logan—I miss his eyes on me as well as his constant teasing. Today’s my day off, and since it’s still early in the morning, I’m considering going back to sleep for a little longer. Just when I turn over to close my eyes again, my phone buzzes on my nightstand.

Logan: Change of plans. I’m cutting things short here and will take an earlier flight back home this afternoon.
