Gaya woke up with a sudden jolt, her green eyes wide and watering. The pale light in the room slowly grew brighter illuminating her surroundings. She was in a very lavishly decorated room, with plush furnishing and décor. She sat up, the satin sheets on the bed felt good on her naked skin. She noticed that her arms, wrists, thighs, calves and ankles were adorned with metal jewelry. And a multi-layered necklace hung over her neck, nestling between her breasts, with a matching one over her hips. That was all the raiment she had, leaving the rest of her body exposed, just as the alien women had been.

Food and drink awaited her on a small raised platform away from the bed and suddenly she realized that she hadn’t eaten anything since before her gunfight on Sogross-3. She slid off the bed and gingerly took a sip of the sweet smelling liquid that shone pink in a strange looking transparent container. It tasted like milk and honey. She took a few longer sips of it and felt her body relax. The other container had something that looked and smelled like smoked salmon. Gaya didn’t like fish, but she was too hungry to care, she ate all of it with gusto, washing it all down with the strange pink liquid.

“Ah, so good to see you’re awake, Marshall.” Jenna’s voice filled the room.

Gaya looked up at the round, mirror like object on the wall. Jenna’s grinning face was on the other side of it. It looked like a two way mirror window. The space law keeper rose up and walked up to the round hole in the wall.

“Oh, yeah, baby.” Jenna continued. “You’re looking mighty regal in Larkin finery, Gaya, you could make a lovely queen, you know… with that hot body and good looks, even at your ripe old age.”

“Can it, pirate. Where the hell am I? Gaya growled, peering into the other identical room that Jenna was in. “And where are you?”

“You’re in one of the royal guest chambers.” Jenna said, smiling sweetly. “And so am I… we’re Lotus-Lark’s special guests.”

“You mean we are her damned prisoners.” Gaya sighed and looked around the room for a doorway or exit point.

“No way, Marshall, we are her honored visitors.” Jenna said indignantly.

“Have you been anywhere outside since we were brought here against our will.”

“Well, no… I’ve never been outside these few rooms.” Jenna confessed.

“Then we most definitely are prisoners here.” The space cop shook her head in dismay.

“But it’s surely better than out there, in the cold, dry emptiness…” Jenna struggled to keep optimistic. “We could have died there if not for these new friends.”

“Friends?” Gaya laughed derisively. “You’d just as soon stab them in the back, had you got the slightest chance.”

“You know me so well, Marshall Lanis.” The blonde pirate stuck out her tongue.

“How do we get out of these cells?” Gaya said in frustration. “I don’t see any doors or exits.”

“I don’t know, I woke up in the room the same as you.
