Chapter Five

Kiley’s life took a direct turn for the better. It was more than great sex, although sex with Luke Danvers made her see everything in a whole new way. She had Evan on the floor tickling him one night, when Emma jumped on too. They all rolled around on the carpet giggling.

“Why are you so happy right now, Mommy?” Emma’s piping question made Kiley admit what had caused the change. All the fun she was having sneaking around with Luke Danvers. She hoped she made him happy because he made her want to sing.

“I guess Mom was chasing happy when we were growing up,” she murmured to herself. “I’m not going to do that,” she reminded herself firmly. “But, as long as it doesn’t hurt the kids, it’s all good.”

After she’d rationalized her behavior into an acceptable form, she called in support.

“Mom,” she said, ten minutes later after she’d rehearsed her conversation. “Can you pick up the twins and watch them after school tonight?”

“Of course. What’s the occasion?”

“Overtime. Can’t turn it down.”

“Marcie mentioned you might be needing a sitter soon. I’ll start a project with the two of them in case you get the chance for more overtime, dear. Don’t worry about a thing. I’ll make certain they have fun.”

Her mother’s excitement at getting to babysit, shamed Kiley for lying about why. Then she stopped feeling guilty when she recalled the gleeful tone in her mother’s voice and her subtle emphasis of the word overtime. Marcie had shared.

Kiley made her next call to Luke. She knew he didn’t trust her yet. He’d managed to keep his pants on the first three times they fucked. She figured he was never going to fess up to his war injury and the longer he waited the bigger deal it would seem, so…

Luke didn’t take Kiley on a tour of the house when she arrived. He ushered her straight into his bedroom, ready to show off the mattress they’d selected together.

She’d called him first thing in the morning to check on its arrival. Though he couldn’t see her, he’d felt her bouncing with excitement. Which of course, made parts of him bounce with excitement too.

“Can I come after work to see?” she’d asked.

“Hell, yeah!” he’d agreed, then started cleaning. He figured at some point she might look outside of the bedroom.

Half way through the morning he got to thinking about his leg, or the leg he didn’t have and almost called her back. But calls to her were taboo. Instead, not wanting to lose a minute with her, he devised a strategy that would keep him mostly dressed—again.

Sweats were easy to maneuver so he showered and pulled on a clean set before she arrived. Once she entered the house, he bear-hugged her, letting her know real fast how much he wanted her. Without underwear to confine it, his loaded cock stood at full stance nothing separating it from her but thin material.
