-Alex-
I am not sure where I am. I don’t remember how I got here or who is driving this vehicle. I know I am blindfolded; my hands are tied behind my back. I am laying on my side and we are moving fast.
“Hello” I squeak.
I hear cursing and someone moving pushing stuff around and a hand touches my cheek. I try to scoot away but there is nowhere for me to go. Then it all goes black.

I wake again this time in a bed. White sheets and a grey comforter is wrapped securely around me. I scoff at the irony. What kidnapper cares about comfort. I sit up in the bed and my head swims and the rooms disappears into a blur as my eyes adjust. Not so fast, Alex. What did they give me?
I look around the room and it is modernly decorated. With two lamps and a large bay window being the only light in the room. A bulky oversized rug lays in the middle. A couch and a loveseat sit in front of a fireplace. This room is massive and more of a suite than anything. There is a full bar on the far left, with a clear refrigerator, covered with shelves of wine from top to bottom. Where the hell am I? The Hamptons?
A knock on the door makes me jump, and I prepare for the worst. I didn’t live sixteen years in hell without knowing how to protect myself.
Whoever is at the door gets tired of waiting for me to invite them in and the door opens forcefully. Standing at the door is an old woman carrying a trey with an array of fruits and breads, with a cup of steaming hot tea.
“Good morning dear.” She says in a bored tone.
“Where am I?” My voice shakier than I wanted.
She frowns and looks me up and down.
“Manners.” She reprimands and she sets the tray down and looks back at me with a stern expression. “You’re at Master Arian’s estate for the foreseeable future. So just sit tight and don’t cause any trouble.” She orders. “Truthfully, I am not a fan of your…people. I think you are a huge mistake to bring into this house and a mess we don’t need to be involved with. It’s because of you and your pathetic family that we are in this mess. Why she is in this mess.”
Why would Arian take me?
“What are you talking about? Who is she?” I mean, yeah, the guys have done a lot of horrible stuff, not by choice but by birthright. But I have never done anything. I lived in hell in a gilded cage all my life. I never left; I have never hurt anyone. But she ignores my question. Instead she smiles. Not a kind smile, more of a smile a snake makes before it latches its teeth into your throat.
“Arian will be here soon. Eat up”
Without another word she walks out the door and slams it shut.
I go to see if the door is locked and not to my surprise it was.
