Before departing the estate with girl B, Samuel thought he might find something of use in her case file which was attached to the side of the tomb. Sitting in his SUV, one case file turned into another then another until Samuel had read through all of the facts and locations.

Arriving back at a previous conclusion, Samuel began to rethink his one girl-one mission plan. Determined on his new course of action, he made his way back into the cyronics room, files in hand, planning on moving each girl to the SUV.

His transference of the girls went smoothly except for two small hiccups. The first was each girl was to finish her thaw at different scheduled intervals. This was a hindrance since D and E were almost but not completely stiff. Samuel compensated. He was able to remove each from her crypt without much incident.

The other issue he encountered was when the height of D caused him to knock himself down leaving the trophy room.

He had incorrectly carried the body for her height hitting her head against the upper part of the door facing with a loud pop. The blow sent him and her tumbling. The hardness of her partially frozen body had actually cracked the wood molding along the top of the door trim.

Filthy, Samuel wanted to thoroughly clean up before departing again, but knew his time could be better used reading through the files again. It took another thirty minutes to complete all the girl's pasts. Closing the last file, he flung the folder across the interior. Exiting the SUV to shut the rear hatch on the Ford Explorer, Samuel was startled when a voice called to him. He spun in the direction of the voice.

The gray suited man from the lawyer’s office was standing in the rear doorway of the house casually resting against the door jam. He was smiling. “Did I interrupt you?"

Samuel did not respond.

Cool in his manner, the killer eased down the step toward Samuel. “I thought I would formally introduce myself. I am Jeff Mitchell.”

He offered to shake Samuel's hand.

Samuel hesitated then shook his head no.

Unfazed, Jeff continued, “I was a partner of your father for many years. Well, more a talent scout and clean up man than a true partner.”

He laughed.

Samuel stammered as he spoke. “So...So...you..you must have helped him find the girls. You helped feed his insanity.”

“Your father was not insane actually for from insane it. He was a man who liked to keep mementos of his conquests.”

Samuel began pacing in an attempt to get to the driver’s side door of his SUV. He hoped to flee before Jeff could kill him.

“Do not insult me by trying to escape. If I was here to kill you I would have already done so back at the first house.”

Samuel questioned, “You were there?”

“Remember, I am the insurance plan. Either way, whether you succeed or fail I win, but I do benefit much more if you fail. Return the bodies and you win. I get paid a small fee.
