I open my eyes and look around to see that I’m in the forest. The pine trees are not familiar to me. What’s going on? Where am I? I’m sitting with my back against an enormous pine tree. I sit forward and my top sticks to the tree. I must have leaned back onto sap. I reach around and touch the substance. Sticky, yuck. I bring my hand around and sniff the substance and it is definitely pine sap. Thank the heavens it was not something else.

I continue looking around wondering where I am. I don’t remember how I got here. I’m alone and it’s a little cool out. I wrap my arms around myself to warm up a little. The sun is just starting to raise. I need to find a clearing so I can look around and see where I am. Where am I supposed to be? Why can’t I remember anything? I need to find someone or something.
