“You must leave this house immediately!”

The commotion in the kitchen summoned everyone from their rooms. Quinn rubbed her eyes after rolling out of bed and wandered down the hall, her roommates (including Ava) trailing behind. When they reached the kitchen they saw Michelle the hostess point a dark finger at someone in the corner.

It was one of the other girls, sobbing into her hands – hands covered in chocolate.

“What a dumbass,” Ava mumbled beneath her breath. Quinn concurred. Who was desperate enough to eat some chocolate? Frozen chocolate, no less?

“I’m sorry!” the girl wailed. “But I had to raise my blood sugar!”

“If you had a health concern, you should have cleared it with production. As it is, you went against the rules, and there are no exceptions. Get your things and go.”

That was how the house was whittled down to five inhabitants. A chocolate cake.

Michelle gave the rest of them a stern talking to for the cameras, stressing how important it was that they follow the rules and not get in trouble. “No sweets. No sleeping in. No wasting water. And no sex.”

Quinn shared a look with Ava. A rush filled her veins.

She was going to be a girl who played the game and didn’t get caught. Her and Ava. And it would be so, so good.
