She smiled. “How about after dinner?”

“That would be perfect.”

“Oh, your coat…” She began, twisting to remove my jacket.

“You can keep it until tomorrow.”

She smiled. “What if I never give it back?”

“I won that jacket hustling pool at a biker bar. I was so drunk I could barely see straight, but I still managed to con him out of fifty bucks and the coat off his back. If you don’t give me my coat back, I’ll have to come and get it….” I warned.

She giggled. “I’m scared.” She stepped toward me.

“You should be.” I smirked, bending to kiss her. My lips brushed against hers softly.

I felt the same feelings I felt every time I kissed her. A spark of electricity that sent warmth to every part of my body. My blood warmed considerably. Her skin rippled in goose bumps. Her eyes fluttered closed and I kissed her deeper. With one hand still holding the leftover food, I moved my free hand into her hair gently. I secured her lightly to me, kissing her.

I pulled away slowly and reluctantly.

“Wow.” She breathed. “Am I ever going to get used to that?”

I smiled, gently stroking her cheek. “I know, I don’t think I’ll get used to it either. I’ve never felt this way… about anyone.”

“Me either.” She breathed.

“I’m going to be late…” I began.

“Right. Goodnight.” She nodded, pursing her lips. “Can I

just… maybe have one more kiss?”

I grinned. “I think we could swing that…” I moved my

arms around her and brought her closer.
