Barry sat down on his computer chair and switched his computer on just as his mother-in-law shouted up for him to clean his room. Shifting his eyes to look at the ceiling and contemplating a response he simply sighed and shouted okay. He liked his mother-in-law but she could be very bossy at times and since she was gracious enough to allow him to move in after he'd gotten her daughter pregnant, he always bit his tongue whenever she ordered him about.The only thing he thought was quiet silly though was the fact she'd insisted he had a room to himself as opposed to sleeping with her daughter, as if the damage hadn't already been done.

Still, it could be worse, so he put up with her little quirks. Truth be told, he quietly fancied his mother-in-law. After all, she was only thirty-eight years of age and he could see she must have turned a few heads back in her teens.

Julie insisted he treat her mother as if she was his mother-in-law for they were planning to get married in the spring. Barry saw nothing wrong with this and so felt comfortable telling people she was his mother-in-law. He knew it would be the truth, come spring, so what the hell.

Quickly tidying up the room he heard his mother-in-law coming up the stairs and just managed to fold up the shirt he'd left on the floor before she knocked and walked in.

"Nice and tidy I see. I'm going to get a shower Barry, listen out for the phone will you, I'm expecting a call?" she said, turning to leave the room.

"Will do…I'm about to make myself a hot drink would you like one," he replied.

"Um...yes alright, I'll have a coffee please," she replied.

Barry had made the drinks in a short while and was just stirring them when he heard a loud thud from upstairs. Being concerned he went to the foot of the stairs and shouted up but got no reply. He also couldn't hear the shower going so he quickly ran upstairs and knocked on the bathroom door.

"Is everything alright?" he shouted out.

When he didn't get a reply Barry opened the door and peeked around the corner and there he saw his mother-in-law naked and lying on the shower floor. Rushing to her side, he picked her up and carried her to the bedroom. Laying her down, he quickly covered her with a sheet and tapped her face lightly. He felt a strong surge of relief when she stirred and opened her eyes.

"Oh thank god, I was just about to call for an ambulance," he said taking hold of her hand.

"It's okay Barry, I've tried to keep it from you, although I don't know why but I'm a diabetic.

I wasn't aware that my sugar count was low or I'd never have gotten into the shower," she said looking down to see she was naked under the sheet. "You handled everything just right Barry, now if
