CHAPTER 10

Ben’s awoke with a terrible headache and a mild case vertigo the next morning. The sun was streaming in through his window, but he wanted nothing more than to sleep in. With a tremendous force of will, he pulled himself up and started getting dressed.

His memories from the night before were a patchy mess. He remembered getting back to the house, and vaguely remembered bits and pieces of the rest of the night. He remembered the game, and he remembered Ms. Temple, and the closet encounter.

Ben smiled as he pulled on a t-shirt and a pair of track pants. It had been a good night, though the last half of it was completely blank for him. He made his way downstairs, unsure of what he’d find waiting for him.

Alina and his mom were in the kitchen, both of them gingerly sipping on mugs of coffee around the counter. Alina was wearing a tiny nightgown, which rode up enough when she sat on the stool for Ben to see a flash of polka dotted panties underneath. His mother had on a red and black silk robe, the slit open enough in front for him to see a bodacious amount of cleavage.

“Morning,” said Ben.

“Good morning, honey,” said Alexa. Alina nodded to him.

“So…” he said, thinking about his words. “Last night was pretty crazy, huh?”

Alina blushed and looked away from him. Surprisingly, Ben’s mom just smiled, meeting his eye as she went to work pouring him a mug of coffee.

“Apparently,” said Alexa. “Though I only have Alina’s account to go by. I don’t remember very much.”

“Yeah, there was a lot of wine,” said Ben.

“I’ll talk to the rest of the book club today and make sure everyone made it home okay.” Alexa stood up on her tiptoes to pull sugar and creamer out of one of the upper cupboard. Ben felt his cock stir uncomfortably in his boxers.

“Yeah,” said Ben. “I guess I should probably call Ms. Temple and talk to her, too.”

Alina shot him an urgent look. His mom turned around and raised an eyebrow at him.

“Why, sweetie?” She looked clueless.

“Oh, uh, she… forgot one of her socks here,” said Ben. His mom looked skeptical but didn’t push it any further.

“Do you want milk, too?” she asked, leaning forward over his mug to add sugar. Her robe slipped open a little more, and Ben felt his eyes locking onto the exposed curves of her breasts. He could almost see far enough down to make out the shape of one of her perfect, pink nipples.

“Ben?” His mom straightened, fixing her robe.

“Oh, sure,” he said. “Yes.”

He took a seat on the counter and turned toward Alina, who looked as though she was still in recovery.

“Hey sis,” he said. “How you feeling?”

“Like a steamroller ran over me,” she said. “And then poured vodka on my flattened body.”

Ben chuckled.

“That’s rough,” he said.

“Yeah.”

“At least it’s Sunday, though,” said Ben. “No rehearsal today.”

Alina nodded.

“Do you want to…” She trailed off, shooting a glance at their mother and dropping the volume of her voice.
