Peach

I fumble with my keys as I get to the back door of my house. Thomas is fast on my heels and when I push the screen door open he catches it and then slams it closed behind him. I don’t stop walking until I’m in the kitchen, tears staining my cheeks. A deep sigh breaks in my chest as I pull my shorts on.

“Just leave me alone,” I say over my shoulder. “Leave me alone.”

“Turn the fuck around, Peach.”

My chest puffs up with a big intake of air. I do as he says, slowly turning around to face him.

“What?” I say expectantly. “Just let me go, okay? If you aren’t going to give me what I want, just let me fucking go. I can’t do this anymore, Thomas. You’re hot, you’re cold. You’re all over the place.”

“What you want?” He takes a step toward me, his eyes narrowed onto mine. The heat coming from his body is nearly unbearable. It’s making me feel hot all over. So…damn…hot. That kiss. His touch. The feeling of his fingers splitting me open and the soft tips draping hot and wet over my clit. His words. His dirty, filthy hot words. “I asked you a question, Peach. You think I’m not giving you what you want? Tell me what you want.”

“I want…you, Thomas. I want you, okay? Every single time I close my eyes I see you. When I wake up in the morning I want you to be there. I want you so badly that I just don’t know what the hell I’m going to do with myself anymore. I need you to be with me. I fucking promise that if this happens, we can go back to the way we were before. But I need you. I need you to kiss me, I need you to fuck me, I need to feel you. I need it.”

“You don’t want me,” he rumbles. “You don’t want any part of me, especially if you want me to pretend this never happened. You don’t want any part of that, Peach. Trust me.”

“How do you know what I want? Huh?” I take a step toward him. I can barely hear myself talk over the beating of my heart and the whirring of my thoughts. “You don’t know what I want, Thomas. You can’t possibly know what I want. Because if you did, you’d know that you are the only thing I want. If you had any fucking idea how badly I wanted you…I don’t know what to do with myself.”

“I’m a jealous bastard, Peach. I can’t give you what you want. I can’t just fuck you and walk away. Because I won’t be happy with just a taste of you. I want the whole fucking package, and if I just get a taste, that’s something that I am not going to be able to come back from. There will be no going back. And you’re too good for me. Too good for this town. Too good to have me breathing down your throat.
