Chapter Fifteen

The party breaks up late in the evening. Everyone stumbles off to bed around one in the morning, but I just jump in the shower and wash off the chlorine before drying my hair and throwing on some dark clothes—jeans and a hoodie so I can hide my face. I need to remember to grab my Glock from the sideboard on the way down to my car. It’s probably half an hour later when I crack the door to my room, hoping everyone has gone straight to sleep.

The moans and groans coming from the door across the hall tells me that our guests are putting that big bed to good use. I groan quietly and bite my lip as I ease out of my room and pull the door shut behind me. It closes with a quiet click, but the soft creaking of the bed and the accompanying cries of pleasure don’t even pause. Fuck me, that sounds like a good time. Vienna’s pants and cries sound sweet, and I wouldn’t mind being a part of wringing those sounds from her lips. I reluctantly push off the door, but before I can go anywhere, the door to Sage’s room flings open.

“Where are you going? Can I come?” he demands, naked except for a pair of tight boxer briefs. Fucking hell, that’s an even worse tease than the sounds from next door. A particularly loud grunt breaks the silence between us, and he looks ruefully in that direction. “They have been at it since we went to bed. I’ve already rubbed one out to the sound of it. Don’t make me listen anymore,” he begs me.

“Get dressed in all black,” I tell him, “and meet me in my car.”

He retreats back into his room without another word, and I continue on my way. I use the stairs this time instead of the elevator. I don’t want Gio to hear me, but when I pass his room, the sounds of pleasure coming from it has me wrinkling my nose. Gross! It seems everyone but Sage and me are getting laid tonight. No rest for the wicked, I guess.

I retrieve my Glock from where he stashed it and use the elevator to ride down to the garage, then I grab my keys from the box hanging on the wall and start up my car. Next, I shoot a message to the guard at the gate to open it, so I don’t have to stop and risk anyone hearing the loud rumbling of my car, despite them being preoccupied at the moment.

The passenger door opens and Sage climbs in, and we get moving. “Shit, I think I’m still drunk.” He rests his head on the glass window and closes his eyes. “Where are we going?”

“Just need to take care of the warehouse,” I tell him, not looking away from the road.

“Which one?” he asks, sounding surprised.

“The interrogation one. Although the agent was blindfolded while coming and going, I don’t want to risk them searching it out later once our deal has concluded.
