Taken down into their watery home to spend the rest of her life amongst the sea creatures and the fishes. But you’d hear her one day, they insisted, even though the lass was gone. You’d hear her singing. A sad but beautiful song that told of the life she’d had to leave behind.

But you should never listen. Never! Cos to listen to a Mermaid’s song meant being carried off by them. Into the seas. Into the deep, blue sea. Forever.
