Chapter 3

A million different things were on Ruth's mind as the clock tolled midnight.

For starters, there was her near certainty that her new friend might not actually show up. His girlfriend, she felt with conviction, was far prettier, infinitely more modern, and probably put out far too regularly and adeptly for her sheltered, modest self to compete. There was no way Jamarr would leave, or even simply cheat on this ebony firecracker of a woman for the likes of her.

There was also the issue of her family catching her in the act, spoiling everything, and her life altogether crumbling apart, and she prayed as hard as she could to stave off this happening- though of course, the very God she was praying to was the one she was about to betray, so she was afraid that getting away with it in this case would be a matter of dumb luck more than divine intervention.

At five minutes after midnight, soon enough for her to be certain that he wasn't coming, hating herself for being so foolish and naive, Jamarr sauntered casually into the dim light of the barn, looking as perfect and delectable as he had that afternoon, perhaps somewhat more so, with the mental imagery of what was about to happen swirling around her mind. Ruth gasped slightly at the mere thought of it.

“The stars look so beautiful all the way out here in the country,” he said, pausing, and with immaculate timing added, “And so do you...”

Ruth was glad he couldn't see her blushing in the darkness.

“Thank you...”

“Should we continue where we left off?”

“Of course...”

And the two of them went for a roll in the hay.

Slowly he lay her down on the dusty barn floor, like gently placing a baby into its cradle. He leaned in gradually over top of her, covering her like a blanket, his body enveloping her, his warmth echoing into her through their clothes, the lump in his jeans pressing noticeably into her through her dress.

They inhaled one another once more. Sucking on one another's lips, breathing into one another's throats, reviving and revitalizing and teasing and titillating. Ruth could feel her body simultaneously limber and tense at his caress. She loved the feeling of his hand beneath the small of her back, gliding up and down, massaging her tenderly, making her back arch reflexively toward him, pressing her body into his firm, broad chest, letting out the faintest of moans into his lips. With his other hand he caressed her right breast, rubbing it in tender, gentle circles, rubbing a loving finger around where the nipple would be beneath the fabric. At this, too, she moaned.

He seized hold of her shoulder blades, gripping her firmly, and began to rock mildly back and forth, dry humping her, readying her for the next step in the process. When at last he finally pulled away, Ruth was absolutely gasping for breath, her eyes wide, her heart thudding, positively astonished at what the two of them were doing.
