I have to tell you; things are chill with Anita. A few days ago, I asked her out to the dinner, figuring what the hell. All she could say is no. But she didn't say no. She said yes.

We went to Henry’s. Cost me a fortune, but you don’t take a lady like Anita just anywhere. She told me all about her life, how she grew up with a mother and father who made her work hard and how she was close to her father before he died. Yeah, nothing like my life.

Did I tell her about my life? I did, and I'm glad I did. I told her about my life of crime, my time in prison and how I'm trying to get reformed. I figured what the hell. There's no point in me hiding it. But if she was worried about my past, it didn't seem like it. She was talking and smiling all night, and that’s not all.

I been in the pen, right? So I haven’t been with a woman in a long time. But I had told myself to play it cool and not push her into anything. So when I had taken her home, I expected to give her a kiss and be on my way, but she's the one who asked me in. She's the one who invited me into her home.

I hadn’t been with a woman in a long time, and something tells me she hadn’t had a man in a long time. She wanted it, and she wanted it bad.

You see, this woman knows what she wants, and that’s a turn-on for me, not a turn-off. She had creamed all over me, leaving a huge wet spot on her sheets.

Now we're on date number two. But this time, she told me she wanted to walk along the lakefront. This isn’t something I normally do. But it's good to, as they say, expand your horizons. We’re holding hands at Millennium Park.

“It's beautiful out here, isn't it?” Says Anita.

“Yeah, it is.”

“You want to rent a couple of Segways? They might be fun.”

I laugh. “Come on, now!”

“Yeah, like a couple of tourists.”

“Anita . . . I don’t know.”

“Please, Kendrick?”

“All right, baby. Why not?”

She smiles wide. “Stay here. I'll go check out the details. I'll be right back, okay?”

“Okay.” I watch her hurry over to where you rent them. She’s got a great looking body, and it looks even better with her clothes off.

“Hey, K?”

I turn my head. Coming toward me are three dudes I used to roll with, Jerome, Pie, and Elrod. “Hey,” I say. “What you niggas doin' here?”

Elrod grabs my hand and shakes it while looking over at Anita. “Is that your lady, man? We saw you talking to her. She’s fine as hell.”

“Yeah, that’s the woman I'm seeing. What are you fools doing here at the park?”

“We’re heading to our yacht, K. You and your lady ought to come with us.

“You got a boat out here?”

“It ain’t a boat, man. It's a yacht.
