The little noises coming from the back of her throat spurred me on. She was on the edge again, and Iâd do anything to send her flying over.
âThatâs it, Em. Come for me, angel.â I gave her clit a gentle pinch and felt the walls of her pussy clench around my cock. The glazed look in her eyes made my heart swell. I stopped holding back, so desperate to join her. A few more thrusts and I was there. My balls tightened, then I pumped my release into her, giving her everything I had. At that moment, I wished there wasnât a fucking condom between us. I wanted to fill her with my seed and put a baby in her belly that would tie us together forever.
Spent, I collapsed on top of her, being careful not to crush her under my weight. I pressed gentle kisses against her cheeks, her eyelids, her forehead. I never wanted to stop kissing her. Never wanted to stop touching her or feeling her soft skin underneath me.
She lightly raked her nails down my back. If Iâd died right then, Iâd die a happy man. But I couldnât die yet. I still had several precious hours to spend with Emma before reality would crash in, and the bubble weâd created around ourselves would burst.
I shifted, rolling over to the other side of the bed so I could get up and take care of the condom. âBe right back.â
She mumbled something I couldnât make out. Traveling all day had to have been exhausting. She needed sleep more than I needed to be back inside her. I could wait. Emmaâs needs came first. Iâd never felt the urge to take care of someone like I wanted to care for her. Iâd be lying to myself if I tried to downplay the depth of the feelings I had for her.
No matter what happened, this thing between us couldnât last. We both knew that going in. The rules hadnât changed. But if I was being honest with myself, I knew the first time I touched her that a lifetime with her would never be enough. How could I expect to be happy with just the sliver of time weâd carved out for ourselves for a secret one-night fling?
By the time I got back to the bed, she was sound asleep. Her golden hair fanned out on the pillow around her, and she had the covers pulled all the way up to her chin. I slid into the bed behind her, curled my body around hers, and tried to pretend we had all the time in the world.
Even though Iâd never felt more content, sleep wouldnât come. That was okay, though. I didnât want to waste a single second on sleep when I could be watching Emma. I tried to memorize the way the soft lamplight brought out the deep gold highlights in her hair. My lungs filled with the scent of her shampoo. It smelled like piña coladas and made me picture the two of us splashing in the surf on some deserted island.
