Chapter 21

Pain

There will be pleasure…and also pain.

Those words echo through my mind as he moves behind me, and back to the table, I turn to watch him, but without turning to me, he says in a clipped voice, “Lie on the bed and put my belt across your stomach.”

My eyes dart to the low bed where the belt is lying where he flung it a short time before. Does he mean to use it on me? How?

As if sensing my hesitation but still without turning to me, he says, “I don’t believe my instructions were complicated. Further hesitation to this or any of my other orders will be punished. Be warned, Angel. Unless that’s what your angling for? My punishment.”

Without a word, I step forward to the bed, lowering myself to it. It’s as soft and as lush as it looks. I lie back against the mound of cushions. My eyes wander to the standing mirror nearby. It’s angled so that I’ll see everything happening. And he will, too.

When he turns back to me, he’s got the blindfold in his hands again. I stare at the scrap of silk fabric as it dangles there. I do still have all three of my vetoes. I’m tempted to use it, even though I haven’t been escorted around here with a sack over my head lately. Only holed up inside my suite, instead.

I take a deep breath, and he moves forward with it. He waves it again. “No veto this time?”

I shake my head.

He kneels beside me and ties the blindfold around my head, tightly enough that it won’t slip.

He grabs one of my wrists and ties it back against the headboard of the bed with what feels like one of the satin sashes that hangs down from the ceiling, then repeats the action with the other wrist. My hands are now suspended in the air behind my head. Then he asks me if I want to veto this.

I shake my head, nervous about what lies ahead. He said he wouldn’t manipulate me, but I’m saving them for whatever he has in store.

He can do a lot in two hours and appears to have the stamina to do so.

He returns me to my back and then plucks up the belt and pulls my legs together, cinching the belt tightly around my knees. I frown, confused.

But it doesn’t take me long to realize how completely helpless I am. It would be impossible to wiggle out of this. He strokes his fingers across my belly.

Then there’s a tug on the slip I’m wearing, a hard jerk. I suck in a breath, and he orders me to hold still.

With his bare hands, he rips the slip I’m wearing down my front all the way to my waist, exposing my breasts to him.

“Mmm. Such beautiful tits. They look delicious.” I feel his hot breath against my skin moments before he sucks my nipple into his mouth, tugging fiercely with his suction. “Mmm. Every inch of you is delicious, Gwendolyn.
