Sanje had lost me when she mentioned I was preying on her. Little did she know, I would kiss the ground her stubborn, sexy ass walked on. Even with the cast in her nose and the slight dark mark under her eye, she was still the most beautiful woman I had laid eyes on.

“Stop making it a problem between us. If I was all about what you said I am, I wouldn’t be right here!” I was pointing my finger in her direction. She had me on a hundred. I never got this worked up with my wife but Sanje could take me there.

“Whatever. You try to make yourself look like the good guy because you came at a time I needed saving. You are not really about me.”

“Sanje, if you weren’t in pain I would really show you what the fuck I’m about. Give me my time and I promise you, you’re going to fall in love.” She folded her arms over her chest and rolled her eyes. I wanted to open up to Sanje about what I was going through, but I wasn’t ready.

Frenchie was damn near pleading to have a conversation with me while I wanted to just talk to Sanje. When I returned to California she was all over me. I couldn’t stomach the sight of her once I got a chance to scroll through their text history. Not only was she sucking and fucking him, but she was also sharing confidential information with him. Killing her would solve the problem, but then I’d have to worry about Dominick. I was next in line, so there was no way I was jeopardizing that. I chuckled when I thought about how she was kissing my ass and I hadn’t yet exposed her.

“Angelo, baby, you’re home!” she shrieked in excitement. The silent treatment I was giving her obviously went over her head. She ran to me with open arms while I turned around to go back outside. “What’s wrong, are you okay?” I had a long conversation with Rita on the jet home. I didn’t need her to call Frenchie’s bluff just yet. I wanted her to suffer slowly.

“I’m good, ain’t in the mood to hear your whiny voice though.” She sucked her teeth. I was direct; it was the only way I knew how to be.

“Fuck you!” In my mind, I already knew it was fuck me. I ran my hand down my face, looking at the woman I had once loved in disgust.

“Yea, I know. Listen, I ain’t here for the pleasantries. I gotta leave out after my shower.” I brushed past her, but she was on my heels.

“Is this because I told Mama about our disagreement? You know how she can be, plus I was mad and I had to talk to someone since Rita was handling business.”

“Rita wasn’t just handling business. She’s also grieving, but you wouldn’t know that, huh?”
