The ride down to the Coast is muggy from the rain and miserable even at night. Our sweat permeates the back of the van that has no windows to ventilate the space. Once we arrive, we surround the abandoned docks and set up our positions for our drug heist. Jesus, I thought some of the shit we did before was crazy, but this kind of business is a whole other level.

Two black SUV’s pull up with Matias’ men ready to take the shipment. We watch the men get out and they open the back, ready to load when the boat docks.

Tricky business, we don’t know the number of men on the boat and we essentially have to overtake them all at the same time. Instead, we are going to wait for the shipment to be loaded and tested, then take the money and the drugs on one side.

The men shake hands and the drugs start getting loaded while one of them checks the quality of the shipment. Matias’ man signals the driver over. He gets out, carrying a briefcase, and is about to hand it over to the Cuban Cartel. Saint, the ex-military sniper, takes aim and shoots the Cuban in the arm.

After the first shot, chaos unleashes, men scramble for cover and bullets fly. Saint aims to hurt and not kill. The same for us, we need a few to survive. We target the rounds up the middle, pushing both groups back. They help us by killing each other off and the men scatter. Eventually, they jump into the SUV’s and the Cubans back into the boat and leave with a handful of men.

Two of our men stay behind, while me, Blade, Stryker and Titan take off after the car with the drugs. We fly up the back-dirt road to catch up to the drug caravan. I pull the mask down over my face as we get closer, and, when we are right behind them, we gun it to separate the two vehicles and swerve, hitting the first SUV we pass. It dives headfirst down a steep ravine and gets stuck. We continue the chase after the other one and pull out the machine guns, firing at the back until the tires deflate, causing the car to swerve and slow down.

We speed ahead in the other lane and, from the passenger seat, I shoot the driver in the head. The SUV rolls to the right and flips itself upside down.

One dirty deed done and several more to go before the end, and, hopefully, a new beginning.
