CHAPTER SIX

The beast charged them again. This time it ran through the clearing and set another tent ablaze. It also rammed Vicki's truck. Vicki and Tabitha were in a tent with the mystics. Cassia and Athena were staying close to them. Duncan and two guards were with them as well. Seth, Jody, and Leo again shot the creature several times but this time it had even less effect. Jasmine was with Ballard he was trying to get her to tell him how to kill Raven. She told him that you can't kill a witch. You can use magic against it but you can't kill it.

Cassia and Athena cast a circle and told the girls to stay within it Duncan was there as well. The beast grabbed Athena and disappeared into the darkness. Cassia ran to Jasmine, but there was nothing they could do. At the edge of the clearing Raven appeared.

“Come to me my loves, it is time to come with me.” Tabitha and Vicki both jerked and their eyes rolled back. They started walking toward Raven. Kate who was standing beside a guard pulled her pistol put it to the back of his head and squeezed the trigger. She walked toward Raven as well.

Seth and Jody took aim and fired at Raven they hit her but she ignored the impact. “Come with me sweeties, we have much to do. Raven levitated and her eyes glowed red, she floated into the darkness and the girls followed her. Ballard grabbed Cassia “Do something that damn bitch is going to kill us all! Don’t let those girls go with her!” He pulled his gun and fired at Raven she laughed at him.

“Raven controls the girls. You would have to hurt them to stop them. We will try to get them back.” Cassia and Jasmine walked toward the darkness looking for Athena. They found her a few feet from the woods confused and bleeding but Athena would be okay. “We must meditate to heal Athena at once,” Cassia told Ballard.

“I want the three of you to consider who is paying for this party if you can't earn your keep then fly your asses out of here! We are in a deadly battle between good and evil and you want to compromise." They ignored him and chanted over Athena. Jody and Seth were gathering men and guns to go after the girls. The crew in the bottom cut through the trees between them Raven’s cabin. They had a supply truck and Jody took his truck, they planned to drive down to the bottom and then follow the stream up the hollow. They intended to burn Raven's cabin on the way. Ballard called everyone's attention. "Quiet please, I want your attention, please. I think all of you for your courage and commitment to this undertaking. I had no idea what I was getting you involved in when I brought you here. I want you to know if you would like to leave and head for the nearest town until we resolve this, I am fine with that.
