The End

Lucky Meeting

Jason, Paula’s brother, took a job out of town. It was a new city and he did not know anyone there. Therefore, Paula agreed to travel with him so that she would help him settle in.

They spent numerous days packing his boxes. They hired a trailer to carry his stuff. They left early in the morning and drove there. It was really hard to find a place for Jason.

He asked his boss if he could help him to find a place. The boss directed him to another guy who was looking for a roommate. Jason and his future roommate talked over the phone about their respective appliances and furniture. Most of their discussions happened through texts and they did not talk about any other stuff. When they arrived, Jason and Paula did not even know if they would find the roommate.

Paula was in her mid-twenties and single with beautiful green eyes. She was always shy when dealing with guys. In other ways, she was extremely independent and confident, except when it came to men. She was convinced that she would never be able to flirt with guys since she come always across as totally disinterested. Therefore, she was not used to men paying too much attention to her.

They reached the new house right before the roommate. The weather was really cold and they decided to check and see if the roommate was inside. They rang the doorbell and Paula stopped breathing at the sight of the roommate when he opened wide the door.

He was really handsome with some beard scruff and dark hair, two of the most features Paula loved on a man. He had an attractive smile while standing at the doorway.

Paula had to force herself to shut her mouth as she became suddenly very aware of her likely tousled appearance. She had spent numerous hours in the car and had put on comfortable, old clothes. She did not even have any makeup.

“Hello, I am Jeff,” said the roommate.

“You must be the new roommate,” he added as he shook Jason’s hand before to look at Paula with a sexy grin.

Jason introduced himself and told Jeff that Paula was his sister. By this time, Paula had recovered enough as she smiled before to shake Jeff’s hand. They entered the house and Jeff gave them a tour. Paula kept admiring Jeff while he showed them around. She pictured herself bending in his broad shoulders with his arms around her.

The members of Paula’s family used to pick at each other and this happened between Paula and her brother during the tour. Paula was surprised to exchange also some amusing banter with Jeff. Jason was too busy getting used to the new surroundings that he did not notice the spark that was happening between his roommate and sister.

An hour later, the landlord showed up and handed Jason his keys before reviewing the agreement with him. They were talking in the bedroom upstairs while Paula and Jeff were waiting for them in the living room.
