Love. She hadn’t said that word before but now she had written it. He feared he was reading too much into it but to him that word offered a glimpse of hope.

He walked the streets and all he could conclude was that he was going to have to wait for her somewhere until she found him.

He returned to the diner and waited there. Once she had changed her mind about wanting to go home, he would find her walking through that door.
