Craven stood at the front door of their home with his house keys in hand. Elmer grabbed his arm and shook his head. He took the keys from Craven and said, “Bobby, give me your library card.”

Bobby handed it to Elmer, only after he promised he would give it right back. He took the card and slid it through the locking mechanism of the door until he heard a slight click. He pushed Craven and Bobby back and kicked the door open wide. A bucket swung down and crashed to the front porch floor. It was filled with manure. Craven immediately thanked Elmer.

Bobby whispered, “That is part ex-ex-explosive you no-no-know.”

Craven’s eyebrows rose and he turned to Bobby. “You did not have anything to do with what happened in town today, did you?”

Bobby looked up to Craven and shook his head. He genuinely looked a bit scared. “I swear. Ch-che-check the ga-ga-garage loft.”

Elmer stepped out on the porch after checking the house. “The boy didn’t do anything. Nothing’s been touched that we brought with us from Serenity Mansion.”

“Good, let’s keep it that way. I will call the sheriff and the locksmith to notify them of the break-in. No one touch a thing in the doorway.” The men tiptoed over the manure and made their way inside.

Bobby shuffled in behind Craven asking, “Hey, can we get a how-how-hound dog?”

Craven shook his head as he made his way to the telephone in the kitchen.
