Chapter 6

Sayid awoke to a rustling sound and an ache in his backside. He looked at the clock, which read 9:45 a.m. Fuck, Sayid thought, I have to do a job in just over four hours in this state.

He then turned himself onto his back and into his line of vision came Axel’s broad, muscular back. He was buttoning his shirt, so Sayid guessed that the rustling must have been him dressing. As if sensing that eyes were on him, the German turned around and smiled at Sayid’s drowsy face. He walked over to the bed, tucking his shirt as he went, and leant down to kiss the Syrian. Sayid could smell soap and taste toothpaste and was angry at himself for not waking up sooner. Did Axel fuck him so hard that the sounds of the shower running did nothing to rouse him? The German grinned and said, “I have some business to take care of, but you stay as long as you want. Order breakfast, take a shower, relax.” He then kissed him again and placed something on the bedside table before walking out the door.

Sayid sighed and stretched his aching limbs. He knew where his target was going to be at two o’clock, but he had hours to go until two and plenty of time to kill. He rolled over and picked up what Axel had left on the table. It was a business card. It was quite plain and didn’t give away very much, merely stating Axel’s name, number, and profession. But it did of course mean that the German wanted Sayid to call him. Perhaps this could turn into more than just the quick fuck it was supposed to be.

The Syrian knew that they had both felt something between them, something that a name couldn’t be laid to. They had both lost themselves a little bit last night and that didn’t happen…not for Sayid anyway. Perhaps it was foolish to think that way seeing as he didn’t know anything substantial about him, but he had been so absorbed in him that he had forgotten himself in the midst of sex, so much so that he had forgotten about protection. If Karim knew how he was behaving then he would ream him out, after all his agent training and Karim’s careful lecturing he had just for the first time in his life thrown all of that out the window for a second and he didn’t even care.

Sayid sighed and grabbed the phone, ordered breakfast, and headed for the shower. The room was particularly luxurious and Sayid found himself wondering for a second what exactly it was that Axel did for the German government. The man had scars all over his body so he probably hadn’t lead a soft life, and even if he did have some form of a desk job then it wasn’t always like that. Perhaps he was exmilitary. He certainly had the bearing for it. Soldier was the vibe Sayid got from him.
