Chapter Thirteen

Jenna heard Trey and Kyla talking as she walked out of her bedroom. Even though she and Trey had taken their relationship to a new level, she still wasn’t sleeping in his room or fucking him.

Listening to the two, she hated this feeling of jealousy. She knew Kyla would never stab her in the back, but there was a certain intimacy between them that she thought she and Trey didn’t have.

She didn’t want to watch them interact, so she turned to go back into her room, but she gasped when an arm came around her waist.

“Where do you think you’re going, pet?”

“Back to my room.”

“Why?”

She couldn’t tell him because she’d be embarrassed to show that kind of emotion. “I forgot something.”

“Is that right?”

She looked over her shoulder and narrowed her eye on the smirk on his face. “Don’t be a prick.”

His eyebrows shot up. “Does my baby need a little attention?”

She tried to pull away from him. “I’m not yours. Go play with your sweetheart. I’m busy.”

He tightened his grip on her and sighed. “Go to your room. We’ll talk when I get back.”

She shrugged. “Whatever. Have fun.”

She walked into her bedroom and curled up on a chair by the window. God, she couldn’t deal with the ups and downs of emotions he was causing. She needed to make plans to move and get a job.

Thirty minutes passed when the door opened again. Her head snapped that way to see Trey.

“Don’t you knock?”

“Sometimes.”

“Get out,” she said.

He smirked. “No.”

She scrambled to her feet. “I don’t want to talk to you. Go talk to Kyla.”

“She’s not here.”

Jenna paused. “Where is she?”

“Travis picked her up for the night.”

“Why?”

“So we can have some alone time.”

She fisted her hands. “I don’t want to be with you. Please leave.”

“We have some things to go over. I guess I haven’t been direct enough for you.”

“What does that mean?” she asked.

“You still have it in your head that Kyla and I are attracted to each other.”

She shrugged. “It doesn’t matter to me.”

“But that’s a lie. It does matter, and I think it hurts you to feel that way.”

“I don’t have feelings. I learned a long time ago if I care, I end up getting hurt every time, and I’m not willing to do that.”

“But you already care.”

“Bullshit. Get the fuck out,” she yelled.

He sighed and headed toward her. It frustrated her and pissed her off when he lifted her over his shoulder with ease even though she was fighting him.

His hand came down on her ass sharply a few times as he walked into his bedroom and closed the door. “Enough,” he said.

“Fuck you.”

He dumped her on the mattress and started to pull her clothes off.

God, why was this turning her on so much?

She growled and tried to kick at him, but it only made him smile.

When she was naked, he started on his clothes.

“Are you on birth control?” he asked.

“None of your business.”

He shook his head and finished undressing. Then he opened his nightstand drawer and pulled out some things she couldn’t see, and it made her nervous.
