These are people who have been extremely successful in transforming their lives with fitness; they no longer accept excuses for living a life that’s inconsistent with achieving their goals.

To create your own “If-Then” Game Plan, think about areas in your life that lead to situational excuses. Begin to consider how you can turn a negative into a positive. Instead of saying “I don’t have time to exercise,” say, “If I wake up thirty minutes earlier in the morning and watch fifteen minutes less TV at night, I will have forty-five minutes for exercise.” Write down five situations that present weaknesses for you, and then create the positive, proactive response that will help you refuse to accept excuses any longer.
