The crocodiles approached the party.

Aelia’s Turn

The party was confident that the battle wouldn’t be too hard as the reptiles were barely a challenge. Aelia walked four hex spaces towards the crocodile that was nearest to her and swung at it.

Hit! 27 Damage Done.

Crocodile 2 Stamina – 3/30

Aelia landed a great hit on the reptile.

Marcus’s Turn

Marcus did not want to waste stamina using spells on the crocodiles. So he walked all his four hexes and attacked the enemy with a swing.

Hit! 26 Damage Done.

Crocodile 2 Stamina – 0/30

Crocodile 2 Health – 12/35

Marius’s Turn

Marius focused his attention on the reptile that was to his left. He walked three hexes towards it and then swung at it.

Hit! 28 Damage Done.

Crocodile 1 Stamina – 2/30

Enemy’s Turn

The first reptile tried to bite Marius.

Marius easily got out of the way from the bite attempt. The second crocodile crawled away from Aelia and Marcus. The reptile got close to escaping but couldn’t reach the end of the battlefield.

Aelia’s Turn

Aelia was content with letting the reptile getting away as it wouldn’t leave any loot. She decided to rest.

Aelia has rested this turn. Four Hit Points recovered.

Aelia’s Stamina – 9/38

Marcus’s Turn

Marcus decided to follow Aelia by resting.

Marcus has rested this turn. Four Hit Points Recovered.

Marcus’s Stamina – 21/32

Marius’s Turn

After landing a decent attack last turn, Marius decided to swing at the reptile again.

Hit! 28 Damage Done.

Crocodile 1 Stamina – 2/30

Crocodile 1 Health – 9/35

Enemy’s Turn

Both crocodiles wisely retreated from the battle as they were wounded. The party put their weapons away as the enemy got away.

Crocodiles 1 and 2 have retreated from the battle.

The party has won the battle.

The party was victorious but gained no upgrade to their skills, which was no surprise due to the low difficulty of the battle.

After the battle, the travelers saw there were three passages. This was similar to the cave that they had explored before. Just like before, the party decided to explore the left corridor first. Before the party continued, Marcus saw a part of the wall that looked different than the rest.

“What’s wrong?” Marius asked Marcus.

“That wall looks different, I can’t be too sure, but this could be a place to dig into,” Marcus answered.

The party walked towards the wall and saw that it felt softer than the rest of the cave wall. Marcus got his pickaxe and began to dig into the wall.

Marcus dug into the wall and felt something hard. He saw there was nothing in the wall. Disappointed, he stopped digging before he dulled out the pickaxe.

Pickaxe Uses – 5

The party was disappointed when they found nothing inside of the wall. Marcus then remembered that he had learned a spell from Cyrus’s notes that could detect raw gemstones. He thought by using the spell he could have a better chance of finding a treasure.

Marcus casts Mercury’s Fortune.

Marcus’s Stamina – 16/32

Marcus was able to pinpoint where a raw gemstone was located with the help of Mercury.
