Chapter Six

Alison let Carson grab her hand and firmly lead her off the dance floor. He wound her through the tables and guests and to the resort’s main lobby. There, he swiped a card and summoned the elevator to take them to his room.

No one else, he’d said. He couldn’t stop thinking of her.

Could she believe him? She wanted to. Desperation burned in her veins. While she’d been doing her damnedest to keep him at arm’s length, he’d been leaving himself wide open for her and her alone.

She couldn’t stop thinking of him, either. He set her on fire whenever he was near. She woke too many times from dreams of being in his arms.

She’d already taken the leap. She vowed to enjoy the fall before the ground smacked into her.

He tugged her to him as the elevator doors closed on them. She willingly followed. His fingers traced her cheeks and down her neck, his eyes following the journey. She shivered under his touch and he pressed his fingers to her chin to raise her eyes to his.

“I want you, Alison.” He leaned down and pressed his lips to hers.

Her eyes fluttered closed. It was a gentler kiss than the one they’d shared in her office, but no less exhilarating. His tongue expertly stroked against hers and she fisted her hands in his shirt to stay upright. Only the ding of the elevator doors opening kept her from stripping down and begging him to take her against the wall.

He pulled her to him as soon as they were inside his room and the door shut firmly behind them. Her backside pressed against his hard cock already straining against his slacks. Carson kissed down the column of her neck as his fingers slid the zipper of her dress down.

“Carson…” She pushed back against him and swirled her hips against him.

He pushed the sleeves of her dress down her arms. The heat of his palms left her arms and skimmed along her sides and up to her breasts. He nipped at her shoulder as his fingers tugged down the cups of her bra and spilled the heavy globes into his hands.

“You want me, kitten?” He murmured against her lips in a brief separation before diving back in for another kiss that threatened to curl her toes and steal her breath.
