Brenda could barely hold back her excitement, was he serious? “I am not sure what to say.”

“Then say yes.” Brenda responded by nodding her head.

“Great, I’ll call you when I have information on the showing. We’ll work out the details.” Armando squeezed her hand and watched her get out of the car and go up to her apartment, skipping all the way.

As soon as she was inside, Brenda flopped on the couch to call Lucia. She was never going to believe any of this.

Armando called her the next day to finalize the details. They got together to have lunch and sign the contracts. Armando gave her more money than she needed to live on for 2 years. He was sure to get it back, her art was just that good. The gallery show ended up being two weeks later. Armando kept attending her art class, she put in her notice at her job after depositing the check, and started painting again in almost every free moment she had. Armando took her out for dinner after class, and other days he would simply call her up so they could chat. There were more stolen kisses, but true to being a gentleman, Armando never seemed to want to push her into anything that might be misconstrued or uncomfortable.
