Andrew let go of Beth’s hand and walked over to the front door to get her coat. He couldn’t let Beth see how much she had affected him. But now that she was leaving, he had wondered if he had made the wrong decision by not telling her how he felt.

“I think I should go,” she started, her eyes moving to the still closed door.

“I’m not ready for you to leave yet,” he interjected, feeling his heart racing. “There’s just one more thing…”

“What?” she asked softly, looking up at him.
