Leaving his bros from another moe at the Sherwood Forest basketball court, Noah raced into the historic Ocean View section of Norfolk.

Pulling into the beach side Ocean View pier parking lot, he parked alongside the lone vehicle. Shoes & socks removed. Feet sinking into the sand, he journeyed towards several strategically placed candles overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. His reason for being there emerged.

Breathing pattern disrupted by her mere presence, Noah seized her around her waist. “When I GPS the coordinates you texted me, I knew you had something romantic on that lil ass head of yours.” Savoring the elegance of her body pressing against his, he kissed her with extreme passion. He relished their shared breathing and synchronized heartbeat.

Freeing herself from his gravitational pull, Tasha exhaled. “Woo… so I guess you glad I texted you out the blue.”

Noah leered her outfit. “What’s this you put together?”

“Cherry Mychael Knight mini dress and heels. Judging by your swollen crouch, you want me to take these off.”

“You look absolutely beautiful. But I thought low budget gold diggers sport Frankie B and knockoff Manolos.”

“Ha ha, funny fake ass baller.” Tasha took his hand. “I hope you like what I put together more than what I’m wearing.”

Stepping into the candlelight, Noah appraised the large beach blanket spread across the sand. Tupperware containers, champagne flutes, a small cooler, and decorative napkins. Helping the mocha skin toned beauty down to the blanket, he sat opposite the arrangement.

Tasha extended a single, long stem rose. “For you madam.”

He sat the flower aside. By her chin, he pulled her into another kiss reserved for long time lovers.

She inquired weakly. “What was that for?”

“Everything. Now can you please feed me?”

Tupperware containers open, Tasha unveiled several toasted Steakum & cheese sandwiches and a blueberry cheesecake. From the cooler she presented a bottle of chilled Dom Perignon champagne.

“Gourmet chef, you are not.” Noah teased her. “Real talk, everything looks delicious.” He delved into the meal like a hungry man should. Twenty minutes later he finished his 4th sandwich, 80% of the cheesecake and his 3rd glass of bubbly. “Baby girl, you went through a lot of trouble setting this up without knowing if I would, or could show.”

“Ever since we started seeing each other, you always seem available, so I rolled the dice. Plus, I couldn’t wait to show you this.” She gave him a plastic card.

“Your official Norfolk State University ID, congrats.” Noah saluted her.

“I know your business is none of mine, but can I ask you something? Do you carry a gun?”

“Do I need to?”

Tasha gestured towards his large, black sedan. “What kind of car is that?”

“Brabus SV 12, Biturbo. The German made big brother to the Benz 600. Topping 220 mph, she the world’s fastest sedan.”

“And how much did a fake ass baller dish out for it?”

He gloated.
