When I see beautiful, functional objects, I like thinking about the original design. Someone, somewhere, sketched it out with pencil and paper as the first step on its journey to ubiquity. But I digress. Obviously, a cell phone is pretty much a rectangle, but rectangles don’t have dimension. To bring this cell phone to life, I draw a rectangle on an angle, then remove a triangle shape from the top. The shadow below the cell phone in the image is a basic triangle; the edge of the cell phone is a very skinny rectangle.
