Win realized he probably shouldn’t have said that, but he’d been fighting the attraction for too long. He’d had enough. Seeing how easily Graham’s mother had accepted the fact that they were mates was the last nail in the coffin of his resolution to stay away from Graham, and he knew it.

That didn’t mean he was going to throw himself into a relationship, but maybe in the next two weeks, he’d be able to find a balance between Graham and the job. It seemed they both wanted to, and if they worked together and talked, maybe they could clear things up.

Graham licked his lips. “Are you saying that you’re okay with sharing a bed with me?”

“I don’t want you to have to sleep on the couch.”

Graham arched a brow. “Then why didn’t you offer to sleep there? Come on, Win. You can admit that no matter how hard you’re trying to resist, you’re attracted to me.” He leaned closer. “You want me as much as I want you, don’t you?”

Win cleared his throat. “I’m sure the rest of your family is waiting for us.”

Graham rolled his eyes. “Fine. We’ll talk about this, though.” He dumped Win’s bag on his bed and left his suitcase next to it. “Ready to face them?”

Win doubted he ever would, but there was no running from it. “What are they going to think? Is your mother going to tell them we’re mates?”

“Yeah, she will. She knows I don’t want to make a big thing out of it, so she’ll warn them to keep their pants on and not freak you out. She doesn’t want you to run.”

“I doubt anyone would come to pick me up,” Win grumbled. Although maybe he could call Nysys. He might come, if anything to annoy Dominic and Kameron.

To his surprise, Graham kissed his cheek. “I’m sure someone would, but please, try. My family is a bit much, but I suspect that’s the case for a lot of families. You’re used to being with the others, aren’t you? And they’re kind of your family. I’m sure mine isn’t going to change anything.”

“What are they going to think of me?” Of Win being Graham’s mate. Of him having a limp. Of him being a non-predator shifter. They didn’t know that yet, but Win had noticed the wooded area behind the house, and he was planning to spend some time there in his shifted form.

Graham took Win’s hand. “They’ll like you. And before you can ask, they won’t care that you’re a guy or a shifter. Hell, Mom is probably over the moon about that part. My brother and I have been through our fair share of breakups, and she always has to pick up the pieces. She’ll be happy she won’t have to do it again with me.”

“What about my leg?”

“You have a limp, Win. That doesn’t change who you are or the kind of man you are. They’re not assholes. They’ll look past that, and honestly, it doesn’t matter, either to them or to me.
