Tiffany took her car but Frank drove. She was pissed that she agreed to let him because he was driving so damn slow. Tiffany felt deep down that something wasn’t right. Monica’ stupid ass wasn’t picking up and Christine wasn’t answering the house phone. She started to call Donte back but went against it. He was just as bad as Monica, both jumping up to leave with their new prospects, never considering the kids.
“Tiff. I am sure your friend would not leave her kids with a person she knows nothing about.” Tiffany looked at him.
“Well, considering she just met the crazy bitch about a week or two ago, that is exactly what she did.” she looked back out the window.
“Where is the father?”
“He is the one that called and told me. His dumb ass is on his way out of town to be with a trick he just met. I think they both are just stupid.” Tiffany believed that if people have kids together they were supposed to be together for the kids’ sake. All the drama that Monica and Donte went through, she believed that they could have settled their differences. Her parents divorced when she was five. It hurt her. She loved her mother and father. They were her everything, so for them both to forget about her after their divorce and move on with their life affected her. No one knew. She acted as if she didn’t care, but deep down she did. She promised herself that when she had a child she will always put them first. She wanted to prove to her parents and herself that she would be the best mother she could be.
“Finally.” she blurted out when they pulled up to Monica’ place. She was going to get her babies and call Mrs. Wright the next day. Monica and Donte needed to be checked. She briefly thought about what happened to her when her mom left her with a stranger. That was right before she left her and never came back. She stayed with that lady for three days. Those were the worst days of her life. She was forced to eat cereal and water. The lady cut off all her hair because she claimed it was to nappy to comb. She couldn’t watch T.V or go outside to play. She had to stay locked up in the room with a book. It was horrible. It was a blessing when Renee mom came and rescued her.
“I will be right back.” Tiffany said when Frank pulled in front of the house.
“Should I go with you?”
“No, Its ok,” Tiffany jumped out the car. She walked to the door and knocked. From the porch she could hear the music blasting. It was damn near one in the morning, what in the hell was going on. Tiffany banged on the door. Of course she wouldn’t get a response because of the music. ‘Now what in the hell am I going to do?’ she stood there thinking. The only thing she could think of was to call Donte.
