Chapter Twelve

Oops I did it Again!

I roll over in bed and I can feel someone lying next to me. I know I had a couple of drinks. But I do not even remember coming home. Oh my God! Did I bring a man to my Mama's house? I am so scared to open my eyes.

What happened last night?

"I know that you're up, My Gorgeous."

What the fuck!?

When I open up my eyes, they land on the smiling face of Jaceyon!

"What happened last night?"

"Don't do me like that, Gorgeous. I know that I remember having the best sex that I have ever had in my whole life!"

This nigga actually sounds excited. I have fucked up big time!

"I have to go . . . My flight leaves at 4:30!"

I am trying to say anything that will get me up out of this damn house.

"Trust me, you have time. It's only 10:30. Let me go and see if Fat Ma is up. Then I'll make breakfast."

He kisses me and then he jumps out of bed. I still can't believe that I fucked him last night.

How much did I actually drink?

I pick up my cell and it is on 10%. I have fifteen missed calls and twenty unread text messages. I look at them first. Most of them are from my mom and Shanae. But the one that stands out the most is the one from Darnell.

Darnell: I have been calling you all night. I just wanted for you to know that my mom didn't make it. She had a heart attack. Give me a call when you're not so busy...

I can't believe that I was getting my back broke in and Darnell was calling, trying to tell me that his mother passed. I feel low . . . Real low . . . Lower than low.

"She is still sleep. I decided that we should go another round, then get dressed and then go to breakfast as a family."

He climbs back into bed with a huge smile on his face.

"Jaceyon, wait a minute. I think that last night was a huge mistake. I had too much to drink and it clouded my judgment."

"A mistake? Gorgeous we both know that last night was far more than a coincidence. You said yourself that you still loved me and wished that shit was different."

"Jaceyon, I honestly don't remember much from last night. And what I do remember is all influenced by my intoxication. I'm sorry but I have to go."

"You think that you can just lead me on and then bounce on me? That's real fucked up! I thought that we were better than that?"

I am putting my clothes on, while he was talking. I have to get out of here and fast!

"We are better than that, Jaceyon. That is why I'm being honest. Last night was a drunken mistake. I'll be back later on before I leave for the airport."

I don't even give him a chance to respond. I am down the stairs in 2.5 seconds with my shoes in hand.
