“We’ll be completely done with our part in the next couple of days. We only have some last-minute finish work to complete.” Ember was looking at her iPad.

Nia was looking at hers as well. “You can tell your APS people they can come in and start to wire any time, Em. I have a couple of very minor things still on my punch list, but they honestly shouldn’t take more than a day to finish up.”

“What’s a punch list?” Kelly asked curiously.

“A punch list is the list that tells me the final work items I have left remaining before a construction project is considered complete,” Nia said. Her eyes twinkled at Ember. “This picky bitch lays awake at night and dreams up shit to throw on my punch lists, I swear.”

“Don’t let her fool you. She has it easy because her work is always virtually perfect,” Ember assured Rowan and Kelly. “If she wants to see a picky bitch, she should jump on some of my other projects.”

“Ember and Nia have worked together for years,” Rowan informed Kelly. “We’ve been so lucky to have them. I’m going to miss them like crazy when this is done and they’re gone.”

Nia smiled at her and ran a hand through her short gray hair. “We still have Clementine’s apartment to do, Ro. And even when the entire project is over, it won’t mean we can’t meet you for a beer or a glass of wine at Seashells.”

Ember tapped on her iPad. “I’ll schedule the cleaning crew when Teagan tells me she’ll be done with the security system. Then we can get you unpacked and moved in, girls.”

“I love this house already.” Kelly sighed. “I love Riley’s apartment at APS, too, don’t get me wrong. But here we have a pool and an outdoor kitchen and…Rowan?” Her eyes widened. “Riley says she and Bryn are buying a boat to keep at our back dock.”

“I think we need to have a housewarming party at some point, Kel.” Rowan’s face glowed. “Bryn says the weather is perfect here in April. Maybe we should have a pool party and a barbecue to celebrate the new house. Rosi is planning our engagement party for the beginning of next month, but the housewarming would be a lot smaller and a lot more casual. We’ve decided to have the wedding at the end of October, when hurricane season is just about over, although I don’t think Bryn is too happy waiting that long. I told her she could fight it out with Mama, however, because I sure as heck wasn’t getting in the middle of that one. So, I’m thinking having a small pool party at the end of April will be just fine.”

Kelly nodded, then flapped her hand at her sister, shuddering at the thought of planning a party. “Then make it happen, Ro-Ro. It sounds fun, but you know I suck at doing that kind of shit and you are amazing at it. From
