Okay, so the best time to ask for Nanda's blessing would have been before Lane slid her hands into Pauli's underwear. As her mom would say, the optics of the situation were bad.

Lane called an emergency session of the Knights of the Lesbian Round Table, and they each weighed in.

Pax declined her video call and texted, "Lane, it's five in the morning. I'm going back to bed."

Ayesha dipped a spoon into a pot and said, "you're not obligated to tell her anything. Try this," and Lane agreed, yes, her beet marinara needed salt. As well as no fucking beets.

Thayer said, "At least give her a heads up so it's not awkward." Lennie Briscoe flopped onto her side and meowed her agreement in the background. "See? Two to one."

Cyn put her on video phone, weaving and out of view. Gloved fingers squeezed lilac hair dye out of a lace front wig.. "You don't have to say shit to Nanda. But if they're still cool, she probably should. Like, not to get permission, but to just let her know." Then, they spent the next twenty minutes dissecting a conversation she had with Thayer.

Lane played Songs of Faith and Devotion, hoping Dave Gahan would have answers, but it just brought back memories of green eyes staring into hers as Pauli said, "yeah? Come for me, then," and Lane gasped out, "you are such a dick," as she came.

So not helpful.
