Chapter 15
Jay
So I chickened out.
Several times.
The biggest problem was that I knew it and Logan knew it too. Heâd been subtly testing the waters ever since my massage but never crossing the lines Iâd put in placeâand while I respected that, it just made it harder. But there was no way I could tell him that.
I wasnât even sure how to go about hinting that Iâd be open to himâ¦what was that stupid Star Trek joke Kevin had madeâ¦crossing into the neutral zone?
I liked everything else weâd done, not that it had been much. I had a feeling Iâd like more. I just wasnât sure what more looked like. How many steps were there between complete virgin and the stuff Iâd seen online?
Then there was the puppyâ¦stuff.
That was another whole ball of interesting I wasnât sure how to step into. Well, Iâd put my toe in the water a few times over the last week. Iâd worn the hood and mitts several times. Logan thought I was a cute pup. There was a little part of me that wanted to question his sanity, but then a bigger part pointed out Iâd have to question mine too if I did that.
Because I thought I was cute too.
I looked just like the pups online, and their masters loved going on and on about how sexy and cute their pups were. I almost looked like the pups online. I still hadnât worn the tail or gotten down to the complete lack of clothes that some of the pups seemed to like, but Logan never made me feel like there was anything wrong with that.
I was just a little disappointed in myself, and maybe a little curious as well.
Okay, so maybe a lot curious.
But Logan wanted the words.
To a degree, I understood. He wanted to make sure I knew what I wanted and what I was agreeing to, and because we were roommates there was probably at least a small concern that if he wasnât careful, I could complain about sexual harassment or something.
Not that I would, but after thinking about what Finn had said, I could understand.
I just wasnât sure how to explain what I wanted or how to get the words to come out. Iâd actually thought about writing a letter, but then Iâd thought about an article Iâd seen where theyâd said that people should never put anything in writing they didnât want showing up on the front page of the newspaper.
Well, I certainly didnât want a conversation about Logan touching my penis and putting a tail in me on the front page of any paper, so that idea went out the window.
But what ifâ
A hand on my shoulder almost made me scream. Before my heart could leap completely out of my chest, Kevin came around the chair, giving me a concerned look. âIâve called your name like a dozen times as we were heading over here. Where were you?â
The small corner of the sitting area between the coffee shop and
