Chapter Nineteen. The Last Thing You See

I WAS AFRAID KUNG MAA WOULD TRY to flee — the Morphian only needed to run a few dozen steps, then jump from the high platform into the water and there change into a sea creature and disappear in the depths without a trace. After that came the four generalists: Gerd Destroying Angel, her brother Grim Reaper, Gerd Svetlana Vereshchagina, and Gerd Imran. Finally, the mages came out of the flying vehicle unhurriedly and with Dignity: Beast Master Leng Valeri-Urla together with the invisible Little Sister, Leng Soia-Tan La-Varrez the Investigator, and me. The seven Small Relict Guard Drones immediately spun up into a lightning-speed carousel over our heads, protecting Team Gnat from any possible threats.

I was not able to hold back the happy smile — it was just such an impressive entrance!
