Chapter Twelve

Robyn needed no further instructions. The minute she heard Lexi’s words, she took her hand and pulled her a few feet to her bedroom. She was glad she had tidied up before grabbing her gym equipment earlier. The room was bright with light streaming through the window. She had momentarily forgotten it was still daytime. She walked to the window and pulled the curtains closed.

Their apartment was on the third floor, so it was unlikely they would have any witnesses. But now that she had Lexi willing and ready in her room, Robyn was nervous and stalling. She hadn’t been in this position, not since she was a teenager at least. Lexi came up behind her and wrapped her arms around Robyn’s waist as she kissed her way along Robyn’s shoulder, dissipating her nerves with every kiss.

Robyn turned in Lexi’s arms, moving her thumbs along the curve of Lexi’s hip bone. She gripped the edge of Lexi’s string top, the thin fabric doing little to conceal the evidence of Lexi’s arousal. She pulled it up and off in one swift motion. Lexi wasn’t wearing a bra, something Robyn had been aware of but not fully prepared for. Her exposed breasts were soft beneath Robyn’s touch as she glided her fingers along the skin, in contrast to the hardened nipples that ached for attention. Something Robyn was more than happy to provide.

Robyn dipped her head, pulling one between her lips and sucking gently as she kneaded the other breast. The sounds emanating from Lexi had Robyn picking up pace, desperate to hear more. She moved her thumb and forefinger to pinch Lexi’s nipple softly, applying pressure little by little to gauge her reaction. As Robyn grazed her teeth along the nipple in her mouth, Lexi’s fingers dug into her shoulders and she whimpered louder this time.

Robyn lifted her head and whispered softly, “You okay?”

Sex wasn’t a one-kind-fits-all type of situation, and Robyn wanted to make sure that her intuition was leading her down the right track. Lexi nodded and pushed Robyn’s head back to where it had been, giving her all the reassurance she needed. Robyn moved to the other side, swirling her tongue around the now swollen nipple and pulling it between her teeth. She applied more pressure this time as she moved her hand down Lexi’s stomach, caressing every inch of skin it passed along the way.

Lexi’s knees buckled briefly as Robyn’s fingers grazed beneath the waistband of her shorts. Robyn halted her movements and stood, walking Lexi back until they reached the bed. Lexi tugged at Robyn’s tank top until Robyn pulled both that and her sports bra over her head. She dropped them to the floor and bit her lip, almost groaning at the image before her. Lexi was kneeling on the bed in front of Robyn, staring at her with widened eyes.

Robyn was thankful she had only begun her workout when Lexi distracted her, or she would be far more concerned with forgoing a shower first.
